Öschberghof Classic

Haiou Zhang at the Öschberghof

The Öschberghof Classic Series 2023 will soon start with one of the great pianists of our time: Konstantin Lifschitz.
With his two milestone concerts on January 8th in the Philharmonie Berlin and on January 18th in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg he is a guest
at the Öschberghof and plays Dmitrij Shostakovich: 24 Preludes for piano op. 34.

The special concert on February 23 in support of Ukrainian artist and violist Oleksandra Fedosova promises a special concert. In a duo cast with Haiou Zhang, 3 different Ukrainian composers are on the program alongside Beethoven and Brahms sonatas.

The spring festival in March is brand new: four wonderful concerts in different styles can be experienced, including the accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis, the Schubert interpreter and pianist Dinis Schemann and vocal quintet MGV Walhalla zum Seidlwirt: So multi-national the vocal ensemble Walhalla zum Seidlwirt from Berlin - including Turkey, Israel, Croatia, Austria, England - their repertoire is so diverse: classical, chansons, hits, pop songs and folk songs from all over the world. The crowning glory are the complete Beethoven cello sonatas played by 3 cellists and 3 pianists!

In April, the Oliver Schnyder Trio from Switzerland will be guests. Important stations in the young career of the ensemble are guest performances at the SWR Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen, in the Stuttgarter Liederhalle, in the Alte Oper Frankfurt, in the WDR Funkhaus Köln, at the Baden-Baden Festival, at the Bern Masters Cycle, at the Ittinger Whitsun Concerts, at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, in the Wigmore Hall, in the Concertgebouw and Muziekgebouw Amsterdam as well as regular tours in Asia.

A highlight in May: the name of the vision string quartet from Berlin promises forward-looking perspectives. New perspectives, utopias and prospects mean a new beginning – and a boost! In this way, the vision string quartet repeatedly outsmarts the conventions of the concert business, which are often perceived as rigid. On their new album Spectrum, for example, the ensemble members shine not only as interpreters,
but also as songwriters. This is how the four can show their spectrum of style mastery and timbres: a subtle crossover between pop,
minimal music and classic. At the highest technical level.

Impressions of our concert series

A special highlight was our spring festival in mid-March: four wonderful concerts in different styles could be experienced, including the accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis, the Schubert interpreter and pianist Dinis Schemann and vocal quintet MGV Walhalla zum Seidlwirt: So multi-national the vocal ensemble Walhalla zum Seidlwirt is from Berlin - including Turkey, Israel, Croatia, Austria, England - her repertoire is so diverse: classical, chansons, hits, pop songs and folk songs from all over the world.

The crowning glory were the complete Beethoven cello sonatas played by 3 cellists plus 3 pianists! The artists Haiou Zhang, world-famous pianist, the cellists Alexander Hülshoff, LiLa and Benedict Klöckner, as well as the pianists Ingmar Lazar and Alexandru Hergane played all of Beethoven's cello sonatas in three duos that evening.
