This industry specific award by the renowned magazine "ahgz" is anually rewarding special engagement and unique characters that are especially involved in helping the hotel industry. Our former hotel director Alexander Aisenbrey was being awarded that prize after he has been giving blood, sweat and tears for the resort. Thanks to him the restoration took place and finally finished in 2019 and let the Öschberghof shine in a new and modern light.

The Öschberghof was awarded 4 diamonds by the Varta guide. He praises the excellently run hotel with elegant furnishings, in which all guests feel completely at ease. The Varta Guide has been a renowned hotel and restaurant guide since 1957. It contains current and independent reviews as well as numerous leisure tips.
Together with the Munich-based architecture firm Allmann Sattler Wappner, the Öschberghof is the winner of the German Facade Prize 2020 for rear-ventilated facades (VHF). The expansion of the hotel and catering facilities of the five-star superior golf and wellness resort of the Öschberghof in Donaueschingen impressed the expert jury, chaired by Reiner Nagel, Chairman of the Board of the Federal Foundation for Building Culture, with a perforated building envelope, "whose textile quality the buildings at night lets shine from the inside ". The FVHF has been awarding the renowned architecture prize for the 13th time since 1999.
The hotel search engine "Travelmyth" named the Öschberghof the top hotel in Donaueschingen in 2021. With a rating of 9.1 out of 10 points, the Öschberghof has been one of the 20 best hotels in the Schwarzwald-Baar district since 2020.
JOI-Design’s design concept for the Öschberghof resort was honored with the “Winner” award in the “Interior Architecture” category. The design combines formal clarity with modern, luxurious comfort and also creates a pleasant atmosphere of calm and harmony. Interesting details subtly take up the surrounding landscape and create a connection to the region and the environment in an elegantly resolved manner.

Rath. The result is a hotel ranking that is unprecedented. The Öschberghof got one of the coveted places among the top 101 hotels in the rating of July 2021!

The 2006 created multi-media platform from Vienna is annually allocating awards in different categories for luxury-hotels. Thanks to the spacious surrounding of the resort, Der Öschberghof was ranked as „The best hotel for actives“. This award is underlined on the one hand by a super maintained golf course and on the other hand by a perfectly fitted active-programm that reaches from hikes over guided e-bike tours to various fitness-activities.

At the Top Hotel Newcomer Award 2019, the Öschberghof took 2nd place in the "Hotel Re-Opening" category. The award recognizes new concepts that have an impact on the German hotel industry. In 2020 the gourmet restaurant was awarded the first MICHELIN star and the second in the following year. On April 4th, 2023 during the MICHELIN Star Revelation 2023 the restaurant was rewarded for the 2nd time with two GUIDE MICHELIN stars.

Manuel Ulrich joins Germany's elite kitchens on September 29, 2020 and is named one of the 50 best chefs by the Schlemmer Atlas. In addition, the ÖSCH NOIR restaurant was awarded 3.5 cooking spoons by the Schlemmer Atlas. The Schlemmer Atlas is one of the largest restaurant guides in Germany, Switzerland, Alsace and South Tyrol.
The ÖSCH NOIR was awarded 3 diamonds by the Varta guide. He praises the stylish table culture, the high-quality ambience and the excellent food and drink offer. The Varta Guide is one of the few independent hotel and restaurant guides in Germany. Michael Häni with the ÖSCH NOIR is awarded 5 points in the gourmet & star category. The "Swiss Wine List" competition is a project of the European wine magazine VINUM. The jurors attach particular importance to creativity and diversity in the selection of wines. They also judge the balance in terms of origin and quality, the fair calculation for the guest and the graphic and visual design of the wine list.

The World Luxury Spa Awards were launched in 2010 and are the pinnacle of the luxury spa industry. They offer international recognition and are chosen by guests, travelers and industry players alike. Every year over 250,000 international travelers select the winners within four weeks.
Every year mein Tophotel is awarding outstanding wellness hotels in the german speaking area. In each of the eight categories there are three nominees. The winners are chosen from an expert jury in a conference where they wheigh the pros and contras of each competing hotel and finally the hotels are honoured on site.
The Öschberghof achieved 6th place in the coveted Relax Guide ranking of the best wellness hotels in Germany. In the RELAX Guide, a maximum of 4 lilies identify the best hotels in the categories wellness, cure, health and beauty. The award of at least one lily for hotels with more than 12 points stands for the above-average performance of the hotel and is the quality seal of the industry.
With a tested mystery check by TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH, the Öschberghof achieved 96 out of 100%. The award is valid until December 31, 2024. The Wellness Stars Germany award has been the epitome of independently tested quality and safety in the wellness sector since 2004.
The Land- und Golfclub Öschberghof has been a certified golf course of the International Golfstars Classification since 2019. The award was launched in 2005 by the Bundesverband Golfanlagen e.V. Today the golf stars shine on over 100 golf courses in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic. The golf starts classification stands for transparency and quality, guaranteed by regular mystery checks.
The Land- und Golfclub Öschberghof was awarded the golden seal by the German Golf Association in 2021. As part of the self-binding and proactive environmental management "Golf & Nature", golf courses are tested and certified for quality and environmental aspects.
"Excellent training" is a seal of quality that was created in 2013 by the Hotel Directors' Association Germany (HDV) and audited by Dekra. It serves as an orientation aid for those looking for training to find the right training company for them and at the same time gives the parents of the young restaurateurs the security that their children are in good hands. "The seal of quality stands for excellent training with a wide range of training opportunities," says Alexander Aisenbrey, former managing director of Öschberghof and former chairman of HDV. In order to be awarded the certificate, the companies concerned must submit to strict test criteria every two years.
The "Job" quality seal for exemplary human resources work in medium-sized companies has been awarded since 2002 and is therefore one of the pioneers among the employer seals. The Öschberghof faced the demanding evaluation criteria and was recognized as one of only 4 companies from the hotel and catering industry in 2015, 2019 and 2023.
The in 2006 created "jobmotor" is an award by the Journal of Baden, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the Chamber of Commerce Freiburg and the Economic Assossiation of industrial Companies Baden (WVIB) that annually gives out a prize to companies which have created the most attractive workplaces. Hereby employee-loyality and support of the employees are highly rewarded.
The 2020 Corona-Crisis has brought massive cuts in the workplace. But the engagement to hire more workers and apprentices has not stop, in contrary, even more employees have been supported instead. That's why Der Öschberghof was rewarded with the "Concepts against the crisis for bigger companies" award.

The Leading Employer Award is an international prize that has been given to the top 1% of all employers in Germany since 2017. The data is gained from independent and transparent sources and is systemized so a reality-near image can be recreated. Thanks to its social support, its superior employee satisfaction, an excellent apprenticeship and many benefits for ist employees the Öschberghof has been awarded with this renowned award.
After that sustainability is something that everyone talks about it is to say that it is not only about the environment. In fact sustainability contains three dimensions in total: economy, environment and also social responsibility. The FAZ Institute and the IMWF Institute is awarding the immaculate implementation of these within ist different industries. On a 100 point scale the Öschberghof was rewarded as one of Germany´s top 10 hotels with 83,1 points.
In 2021, the Öschberghof was awarded the GreenSign seal for the first time. GreenSign is a certification that assesses sustainable hotel management in accordance with ecological standards, social commitment and economic success. The Öschberghof achieved level 4 of 5 in certification. The requirements for sustainable management are met to a large extent by the hotel.
